halo diamond engagement rings
Ever since I got engaged and decided to make my own engagement ring...(after all how can a guy buy a ring for a jewelry designer...talk about pressure)...I have been wanting to add an engagement line to Island Cowgirl. Our new division is called Rough + Luxe and we deemed it worthy to have its very own website.
I have created a lot of commissioned bespoke pieces for clients over the last few years but it has always been a dream to do a proper line where clients can see exactly the ring they were getting instead of only a sketch.
The samples were slowly carved one by one and stones are painstakingly being chosen and set...and I am finally finding some time to breathe some life into this dream. I don't think I have been this excited about something in a long time...short of getting my horse!
The signature pieces in this line will be our Halo Engagement Rings...They really have always been my personal favorite...and the inspiration comes from the engagement ring I made for myself when I married the love of my life three years ago. My 18k gold Halo Engagement Ring had a beautiful 1.75ct Grey Chameleon Diamond that I searched high and low for. I have never seen another rose cut diamond like this. This particular rose cut diamond is a color changer...which means that it will change from yellow to green to grey in the light & heat.
It's never the same and always evolving...kind of like me.
We are going to be offering a variety of center stones from diamonds, to rare peach sapphires, to Moissanite to my new obsession lab grown rose cut diamonds! If you are not familiar with these...then you are in for a treat. I will be doing a detailed blog post about the history of these later.
